Well, nothing really except that you can win an iPod touch by posting a video of your experiences with Citrix XenDesktop.
If you have been a visitor to this site for an amount of time, you have probably noticed that I do not treat the site like blog. It is more of a repository for the free products I write for the community as well as a few original articles. That being said, this post is a little out of the ordinary for me. But, I wanted to help out a long time friend and once colleague –
Barry Flanagan. Barry and I go way back to when I first started Citrix consulting projects. I was working for a Citrix partner doing consulting work and traveling live seminars. Barry was the regional SE at the time and accompanied me on many of these engagements. So, when Barry asked that I help spread the word about a
Citrix contest he was spearheading, I naturally said "yes". So, here is what the contest is about:
- Download the Citrix XenDesktop Beta
- Create a video of what you think is cool about it (you can use the free uTIPu.com TipCam)
- Upload the video to uTIPu or YouTube and tag the video with "Citrix XenDesktop Video Contest VDI"
You can post videos up until May 9th. Starting on May 15th, votes will be taken on the Official Citrix Blog on the eight winners from the bi-weekly voting. The Top video winner receives a 16 Gb iPod Touch, second place receives an 8 Gb iPod Touch, and Third Place receives a 4 GB iPod Nano.
