Had a great discussion with Tolga Tohumcu about a new integration at Cisco GSX - Splunk Federated Analytics. This integration with Splunk and Amazon Security Lake enables the Splunk Platform to access and use data where it resides. Exciting times ahead!

hey everyone we’re out here talking about Federated analytics and toga has been telling me some things about amazon security Lake can you give me a little bit more information sure absolutely after we released federative search for S3 we’ve seen this success and what we tried to do is we go to the next level to do Federated analytics so when we do one of Federated analytics the first Target was amazon security lake so we decided to basically open up the federative search capability to go directly to amazon security Lake and search data and integrate with Enterprise security and spanc so that’s going to help our customers to be able to just gather the data from directly from where it resides and we’re going to apply the similar licenses uh with data scan units and that that same license is going to be able to go not only retrieve you can also index the data in Span claw form and then you can actually go and highlight some of the dashboards at es that’s going to help tremendously to our security customers and also if if they’re not a Security customer they can just go and actually trigger that data bring it back to spun and corate with other additional data sets for example I can go gather data from Amazon security Lake I can bring it back I can do the same thing for federal research S3 and I can correlate those two data sets or I can actually do the same thing with bring data back from ASL and index it and then corate that data with what I have in Splunk index so that’s going to actually help tremendously for different use cases um mostly security but it doesn’t have to be security yeah so we’ll be able to provide analytics on that data wherever it resides without even bringing it into this block that’s the ultimate goal uh what when we’re trying to do you know anything Federated analytics we’re actually trying to go to where the data is residing rather than just bringing it back so we can actually go and now get that data correlate use it and and hopefully in the near future um we’re going to open up with other platform as well but ASL was the first security Lake we targeted um and uh today we’re doing a preview so preview started already if you have customers that are interested in integrating with ASL um join our preek program and toally that sounds incredible where can I go get some more information on this sure if you have customers today using amazon security Lake and spun Cloud together I think they could be the best uh prospects for us so they can join our preview program the best method is we have an intake form that um AC or RSM can trigger that form and then it will end up in product manager and myself and then we can actually put you in the preview program and that will basically get them into how the the solution works and the use cases that we will cover and then if they like after the preview program they can go ahead and purchase after we G the product fantastic thank you too [Music]
