At Splunk .conf25, I had the opportunity to chat with him about Splunk PODS - which brings together Splunk software, Cisco UCS hardware, validated designs, and more to give customers turnkey solutions with confidence for small, medium, and large deployments.

Hey everyone, we’re out here at docom and I just ran into Dave who’s longtime Splunker and you’re talking about the Splunk pod with Cisco. Can you give us some more information about what it is, what it does. >> Absolutely. Um, how could you not do this? This is where you’re bringing Cisco hardware and Splunk software together better together story makes perfect sense. What we want to try and do is have a way of being able to meet our customers wherever they are and their needs and being able to have a turnkey solution that you can deploy to help customers whether they be small, medium or large in order to be able to embark in their new Splunk journey. So some really good stuff and I’m very very excited about it. >> So the you said the infrastructure is it like the compute the UCS? What is that? >> Everything packaged into a single appliance that you can scale out based on your actual needs. But what I love about the engineering approach to this is that they’re taking the time to build an actual solution. They’re not looking for the meto scenario where it’s literally I can do the same as what you do with Dell or HP. They’re looking for something that’s actually going to give an outcome to the customer they can rely on and it’s future proof for their workload needs. It can be for Splunk Enterprise, ITSI, enterprise security and beyond. And better yet, we can mix and match this with what you see in the uh AI pods as well to have it all in solution future proofing your workloads. >> So you got your hardware and your software all ready to go turnkey out of the box. >> What more could you ask for? >> Perfect.
