Hey everybody, we’re out here at Cisco live in Amsterdam and we’ve been talking to HCL software about their innovations on the Splunk platform, but specifically something called eye control. Now Sundep, you’ve been working with HCL software for a while. Can you give us a little bit of information on the business value of this product? >> Sure. >> Eye control integrates with Splunk observability. And the question we keep hearing from our customers that when it comes to Splunk observability we get everything technically but where is the business context and that is what is added by HCLI control. Let me pass it over to Ian and maybe share some more details. >> Absolutely. >> Thank you Sep. So yeah as you mentioned we’re fully integrated with Splunk observability. Um, our key innovation is bringing in the business process that that layer of end to end of how the business is actually operating with all of the key controls. >> And if you think about it from a from a pyramid point of view, you’ve got all that deep rich technical data from the uh infrastructure, then the application layer. Now overlay that with your business process and your business controls. Um, you get three different personas that are all combined together, integrated, but actually being able to allow you to make faster, quicker, and better decisions on what’s affecting your business, when and how, and how much it’s actually going to cost you at the end of the day. This can go from rigged reporting all the way to compliance controls or just simply the operational controls that that that you need from dayto-day. Um, Rob, do you want to give us a little view of what it looks like? >> Sure. Let’s have a look. This is I controls homepage. You can see that right now we have an endtoend procurement business process flow. Each business process step KPIs associated to them. We call them targets. Usually technical targets receive their metrics directly from Splunk observability and business targets require Splunkbased searches querying the business data. As you can see, there are a few targets on a breached state displayed in red. Let’s click on one of them related to application errors and then drill down into a dashboard for further investigation. The drill down dashboard has crucial information related to the overall health of a key application to the process flow. Combined in a single view, you have key technical metrics fed by Splunk observability as well as incident tickets that were created automatically on Big Fix Service Management once the target breached. If you want to drill down even further, you can click on the incident table and go straight to App Dynamics for further investigation. In App Dynamics, you can continue the investigation to find the root cause of the incident. Back in our control, let’s check now a business target. Here we are monitoring the processing rate for shipments. This business target is also breached, but unlike the previous example, the breach here is not caused by technology. Let’s drill down again and check the impacted shipments. On this dashboard, we can perform impact assessment and rep prioritize processing to mitigate this issue before it becomes a problem to the customer. The integration of Splunk observability, I control and big fix service management bridges the gap between IT and operations, offering full visibility from technical components to their real world business impact. >> That was a really impressive and incredible demo. Now Ian, I want to go learn some more. Where can I go?
