Hey everybody, we’re out here at Cisco Live in Amsterdam and I ran into Larry with a brand new use case that involves Splunk and the Cisco Unified Edge. Why is that important? >> You know, Jason, it’s really cool because we always talk about Splunk in the cloud. A lot of times in the industrial space, people have these airdapped environments where they really want to have Splunk running locally. This is a challenge because you have to find the right hardware in that environment. The unified edge from Cisco really solves this problem. So now you’re basically running a cloud environment inside a factory uh in a factory floor. It allows you to get your digital twin environment and everything showing in Splunk and all the Cisco equipment behind that. >> So you got Splunk, you got the compute, the storage, the GPUs, whatever you need right here, not cloud connected at all. Totally airgapped. Is that accurate? >> That’s exactly right. And there’s so much compute power on here. It gives gives all the customers a tremendous amount of growth path so they can keep adding you know beyond Splunk there’s other ISVS and other things that our solutions integrators are looking to add into a single environment and just drop that in. So if you have multiple factories or multiple environments you know utilities you get consistency in terms of how you build that preload it and how you deliver that into the environment. >> That’s really incredible use case. Now where can I go find some more information about all of this? Well, always Splunk uh and we have Edgehub Central which talks a lot about what we’re doing in OT. We also have information available through our Splunk uh reps. On the Cisco side, Unified Edge just came out about three or four months ago. There’s a ton of press on it. There’s a great website on it that shows what people are doing with different verticals. And I think again, especially for our partner community, this is a great way to put a solution in a box and deliver that consistently across multiple locations. >> Awesome. Thanks so much, Ry.
