Partners are driving incredible success for customers from implementation, to migrations, to services, and beyond. One of my favorite things to do at in-person events is chat with partners on the innovation they are driving. While at Cisco Partner Summit, I had the opportunity to chat with Salman Asadullah from Netnology about the innovative services they are delivering and the impact they are making for customers.

Hey everybody, we’re out here at Cisco Partner Summit and I ran into Salman from Netnology and we met back up in do earlier this year and you gave me a lot of great information about what you’re doing in the partner ecosystem and your really great background in Cisco being a former Smithsonian. Can you give me some more information about what netology is and what you do? >> Perfect. First of all, thanks for the opportunity Jason. uh uh so since we are at the partner summit so I’ll just I’ll try to bring some of the connect some of the dots right from the partner ecosystem perspective uh as Jason Jason mentioned Salman Sadullah a former Cisco distinguished engineer and uh now managing principle at technology so was at Cisco for uh 20 plus years and then left in 2017 that’s when we started on this journey of technology uh so within In the partner ecosystem, there are two type of partners. Uh there are mainly two type of partners. So they’re reseller partners and they’re uh services only partners. So within the ecosystem, there’s a services only partners called uh mint partners which is mentor install and training partners and DSI partners which is digital system integrators. Uh so the purpose of the these type of partners is to only work on no reselling just work on the services piece means doing the deployments doing the pre-sales post sales work um doing the integrations you name it running the POVs u uh doing the large scale deployments whenever um the reseller community have any cap capability or capacity issues or even the the Cisco sales uh teams or the CX teams have any capacity issues because with Cisco it’s never about uh capability. They know this is the products they’re making. They know it but when they have capacity issues they want to work with the right partners. So we are supposed to be one of those right partners when it comes to Cisco services. Uh we support four architectures of Cisco uh enterprise data center security and observability. uh been uh in the business for uh seven plus years. This is our eighth year. Uh and uh we are one of the very few of these services only men partners who understand the end to end policy enforcement the end to end segmentation because we have those multi-dommain disciplines in our company. Uh so basically uh from a uh well and we were also named as one of the mint partners of the year uh in 2023 here right here at the global partners summit and over the years now we have u uh delivered over 300 engagements for Cisco. So very well verssed in the Cisco part of the world. Now, if I want to tie it um to the security and observability perspective from Splunk, uh since you’re one of the uh the gurus for Splunk as a uh solution, so we were a big partner for ABD, right? So, from a Cisco perspective when we when Cisco talked about FSO, it was ABD, thousand eyes and inner sight. So, we were doing lot of work around those uh solutions. So the APM piece we understand understand it very well. Uh and then when of course when the Splunk acquisition happened uh for us it was very natural to quickly ramp up on the Splunk OI piece. Uh and what I understand that Splunk OI is also a newer business for the Splunk as an organization uh with the whole APM piece. Uh so for us it was very easy very natural to pick up on all the the all piece for obser for Splunk. Uh so all our APM uh guys uh they did their certifications we launched our services. So whenever there are any opportunities tied to uh to even migrations from uh ABD to Splunk or even Splunk OI deployments pre-sales post sales work we can help it we can help with all of that work plus uh we have to kind of see that uh that Splunk is one piece of the Cisco offerings right very important piece now Cisco has a array of these solutions in enterprise data center and security and observability areas right so how are we going to build those bridges so a partner like netology really understand that piece very well uh and we like as an example uh we in FI25 uh we were doing engagements for uh Cisco uh traditional resellers explaining them how to uh convey the message of Cisco Splunk better together story means how does Splunk and thousand eyes integrations work? How does Splunk and Catalyst Center integrations work? How does uh Splunk and Nexus dashboard integration works? Right? And this if you all of these things if you really see it’s all around APM, right? So we are we are good in that area for sure. Uh and plus u the other Cisco architectures where we are able to build those bridges. Yeah. So, you’ve given us a lot of information and you’ve built a lot of really cool solutions and if I were a partner out there and I want to engage with technology, how would I go about doing that? >> Uh uh the best way is to kind of our website, you know, this uh technology.io. It’s like netology like technology and or info@netology.io. These are two ways to kind of reach uh reach out to us. >> That’s incredible. Thanks so much for your time. I appreciate it. >> Appreciate it. Thanks a lot. Thank you.
