hey everybody we’re out here at Cisco partner Summit and I’ve been talking to Jason here about EDG Hub now traditionally Splunk hasn’t been in the hardware business but now we are at this observability can you help me understand how it all ties together yeah I’ll tell you what I’m really excited about with EDG Hub is uh correlating the uncorrelated so we do a lot with customers engaging with their real estate teams to understand how space is utilized so of course we have a lot of great Wireless some video conferencing end points that can give us more than just their intendent purpose data so more than just providing you know connectivity for our devices and a great you know video experience they’re also loaded with sensors so our wireless access points like tell us how space is being utilized our video end points can tell us how many people are in a space and they have a lot of environmental sensors built in that’s all super cool but what gets really interesting with edgb is the ability to bring in other data sources within the built environment so we can start pulling in data from BMS systems um we can correlate against uh carbon intensity of energy you know submetering from the environment so we can really correlate the uncorrelated and we’re bringing in you talk about the sensor what type of things are you talking about vibration temperature what type of things like that I would say the cool thing is anything so by default we’re looking at a lot of environmental data like temperature humidity um CO2 you know air quality type things um but we can also extend that into mechanical systems so a company has a lot of you know chillers for their HVAC systems you know we can we can strap sensors on those and then pull that pull that into the environment for predictive maintenance and troubleshooting yeah that sounds really exciting and really extensible where can I get some more information about all this um I’d say the two places to get information are spaces. cisco.com and then of course EDG Hub Central fantastic thank you Jason awesome thanks [Music]
